I would love to recreate this scene with someone.
I already have someone in mind.

Can’t Stop Destiny.

This has been a phrase flowing through my head all day since I got a very exciting yet kinda saddening email this afternoon.

There’s some things in life you can change - your mood, your habits, your outlook - but when it comes to matters of fate and destiny, those things you cannot.

I’ve always held the belief that with each one of us, God has two cards. One card is our destiny is we choose option A; the second, option B.

And our lives play out like a gigantic choose your own adventure book (which, I guess if you really think about it… is already there).

So, we make these decisions in life with the full knowledge that each decision, no matter how great or small, will impact our life.  But, we CHOOSE to make those decisions. Those decisions (hopefully) aren’t thrust upon us.  I believe the greatest gift that God gives us is the ability to choose. It’s not the decision that hard, it’s LIVING with the decision that’s hard.

But, we are free to make that decision.  God does have plans to prosper us (read Jeremiah 29:11-13 if you don’t believe me) so we do have one set path to success.

But I feel that both paths are successful, as long as you deem it successful.  Success can be interpreted as having a lot of monetary gain, or possessions. Success could also be defined as learning a lot from life experiences.

Either way, you end up successful.

Which makes that message so bittersweet.  it’s awesome that people are finding their success and getting their names out there, but it’s rough for the friends you have to leave in order to get there.

My vision with atypicalLIVING has always been to help further the Hawaii artist and get them to places outside of the state.  It’s true that I have a hand in helping them blow up, but it’s also true that I have a hand in helping them leave, taking them away from people that love them.

But, as the old saying goes… if you love someone, you gotta let them go.

The short-sightedness of having a friendship with someone is not really knowing what’s best for them. Only they can figure that out for themselves.  You can only show as much support, love, and hope as you can.

I often wonder why sports teams say they play for something bigger than themselves?  Now I know. It’s the love, respect and adoration you have for the other person - the person next to you physically, spiritually, or mentally - that pulls you to even greater heights than before. With March Madness looming, it’s always the best TEAMS that win, never the best players. Put others above self.

So, with heavy heart, I know the time is drawing near, but I know that it’s for the best.  Hopefully when we meet up again, we’ll all have grown by leaps and bounds.

Success is contagious. And you can’t stop destiny from happening.

“Those who dream with their eyes shut are no threat to the oppressors but it’s the small handful of dreamers with their eyes wide open that will spark a revolution.” —

107-107. 9.7 seconds left. Is it any wonder who’s getting the ball?
For the 6th time this season, KOBE gets his Mamba on and bails the Lakeshow out.
Came out of the gate flat. Bynum got his, but no one else went for it. Everyone played so-so for about 3 1/2 quarters. Then KOBE realized he’s KOBE, and started hitting everything he put up. Including this 20 footer for the win.
Can’t be relying on this all the time. Next game against the Suns would be a good test for the Lakers championship aspirations.
